Q:  What is the Key Card?

A:  The Key Card is an electronic swipe loyalty and rewards card.  You carry the card just like you would your credit card or ID and use it every time you spend money in Winter Park & The Fraser Valley.  The continued rewards allows you $10 back for every $100 you spend at a participating merchant.  Ongoing promotions allows you access to a whole assortment of discounts, dollars and activities for your participation.

Q:  How do I use my card?

A:  Every time you go shopping, dining, do an activity, purchase lodging or spend money in Winter Park & The Fraser Valley, ask the clerk if they accept your Key Card.  You will continue to earn rewards for every dollar you spend and any promotional dollars you may have can be used towards your purchase.  You can also visit our list of participating merchants.

Q:  Where/How do I get a Key Card?

A:  Key Cards are available lots of different ways.

  • You can request your free Key Card by clicking here and we will send it to you in the mail
  • You can stop by the Winter Park Visitor Center and we will give you a card on the spot
  • You can pick up a card from any participating merchant by asking for one
  • If you are staying as part of a lodging promotion  your Key Card will be waiting for you at check in

Q:  How do I know who accepts my Key Card?

A:  Easy, take a look at our list of participating merchants.  You can also look for the Key Card emblem at your favorite business.  If in doubt, just ask if they accept the Key Card.

Q:  Where/How do I get a Key Card?

A:  Key Cards are available lots of different ways.

  • You can pick up a card from any participating merchant by asking for one
  • If you are staying as part of a lodging promotion your Key Card will be waiting for you at check in

Q:  How old do I have to be to have a key card?

A:  You must be 18 years of age in order to have a Key Card.

Q:  Do you have to have my email?

A:  Yes.  In order to receive a Key Card you must provide and maintain a valid email.

Q:  Why do I have to provide my birthday?

A:  We love birthdays!  And we hope you do too.  During the month of your birthday we will give you $10 to spend at any participating merchant!

Q:  I received a card in the mail and it wouldn’t let me activate it.

A:  If you requested a Key Card online or over the phone, then it is already activated.  You don’t need to do a thing.  You can verify your information by visiting your Online Member Portal and using your Card Number (KCCXXXXXXX) and the Code printed on the front of your card.  Still having problems?  Give us a call at 866.255.0171!

Q:  I received a card as part of a promotion and it won’t let me activate it.

A:  If you received your card as part of a promotion then it is usually activated for you.  You don’t need to do a thing.  You can verify your information by visiting your Online Member Portal and using your Card Number (KCCXXXXXXX) and the Code printed on the front of your card. Promotions and Rewards

Q:  What are loyalty points?

A:  Loyalty points are rewards for your continued shopping.  Once you have spent $100 at a merchant, then you will receive $10 back at that same merchant to redeem towards another purchase.  You do not need to spend the $100 at once.  You have one year from the time you spend your first dollar at a merchant to achieve $100 in spending.  As soon as you do you will get a reminder that you have $10 to spend back at that same merchant.

Q:  What are promotions?

A:  Promotions are dollars that can be redeemed at specific merchant types for participating in something cool.  For example, if you stay two nights at a participating lodge right now, we will give you $50 to spend at any merchant except lodging.  Check out our list of Current Promotions to find out how to make the most of your Key Card today!

Q:  Where can I use my $10 ($25, $50 or $150)?

A:  You can use any of your promotional dollars at participating merchants.  Some promotional amounts exclude specific business sectors.  You would need to refer to your promotional email or visit your online portal to find any restrictions.  Reward dollars ($10 back after every $100 you spend at one merchant) are valid back at the merchant where you spent the $100.

Q:  Does my card have money on it?

A:  Your Key Card can be loaded with any assortment of values depending on your promotion participation or rewards.  All values are loaded in either $10 or $25 increments.  Eg:  Stay & Play will give you $50 in two $25 increments.  While these promotional and rewards dollars are not money, they will take the corresponding amount off of your purchase when they are redeemed.

Q:  How do I know where I have loyalty points?

A:  All of your Key Card activity can be found online at through your Online Member Portal.  You can also track all of your promotional dollars and rewards dollars.  Promotional dollars are typically valid at most business sectors and reward dollars are valid back at the merchant that you spent at least $100 with.  You can always check your messages for specifics on each promotion and reward in the messages section of your online portal.

Q:  How do I view my card activity?

A:  All of your Key Card activity can be found online at through your Online Member Portal.  You can also track all of your promotional dollars and rewards dollars.  Promotional dollars are typically valid at most business sectors and reward dollars are valid back at the merchant that you spent at least $100 with.  You can always check your messages for specifics on each promotion and reward in the messages section of your online portal.

Key Card & Transaction Problems

Q:  Every time I swipe my card it says expired?

A:  During the early stages of the Key Card launch we accidentally created some bad cards.  If you card always says expired, call us at 866.255.0171.  A Key Card agent will help figure out what is wrong.  If your card is bad we will send you a new one with all of your previous activity already on it, so call us today!

Q:  I didn’t have my card when I made my purchases.  How do I get credit for that purchase?

A:  You have to have your Key Card with you at the time of purchase (actually, you have to remember to give it to the clerk before they finalize your transaction) in order to receive credit.  If you do not have your Key Card with you the clerk has no way of providing credit for your purchases.  So, remember to keep it in your wallet and pull out every time you make a purchase!

Q:  The merchant swiped my key card, but I don’t see the activity on my account.

A: There are a number of reasons you don’t see your activity.  One of these reasons is that the system may take up to 24 hours to post your activity.  Loyalty points are also accumulated overnight so they won’t be able for you to spend until the following day.  If you don’t see your activity today, check back tomorrow.  If you still don’t see your activity, give us a call at 866.255.0171.  A Key Card agent will help figure out what is wrong.

Q:  A customer service rep said I was not allowed to have a Key Card.  What do I do?

A:  In order to obtain a Key Card you must be 18 years of age and provide basic registration information.  If you are not 18 or unwilling to provide all of the registration information, then unfortunately cannot provide you with a card.  However, if you are 18 and willing to provide the basic registration information then you can request a card online or you can call us at 866.255.0171.  If you are in Winter Park & The Fraser Valley, you can also stop by the Winter Park Visitor Center in downtown Winter Park and we will give you one on the spot!
